Company Details

Idea

PropWorx is designed for a single legal company entity. All online portals and internal systems display the same company details. While multiple bank accounts can be managed, certain elements—such as the VAT number, logo, and footer—remain universal across the database.

This means that if you manage multiple entities, these universal elements will apply to all portfolios. Additionally, accounting ledgers such as Trial Balances will combine all bank accounts into one consolidated view.

For users needing separate financial reports, distinct logos, or different VAT management per entity, a separate database must be created for each company.

To configure your company settings, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to SettingsCompany.

2. On the top left, click Edit to modify your company settings. Once done, click Save Changes to confirm.

3. The company screen has three sections:

Company Details: The primary details for your company within the database.

VAT Details (if required): Enabling this applies VAT to your fees and transactions.
Note: VAT on Tenant Charges will not appear in the Tax Report—only VAT on fees and transactions will. (See the Generate Tax Report section for more details.)

Default Company Statement Bank Account Details: These are the default bank details that will appear on your tenant and landlord statements. Important: Before you can select a bank account here, you must first create it as a cashbook within PropWorx. (See the Create Cashbooks section for more details.)

Tip: You can override these details with different bank information for specific properties or buildings as needed.
